Jennifer Larsen loves combining her two lifetime passions – music and performing, and early childhood education – in her role as a Kindermusik instructor. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in child development and behavior, and minors in Child and Family Studies and Music-Voice (UW-Stevens Point). She has a Master of Science in Education degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education (UW-River Falls). She studied voice throughout high school and college. She has always worked in the field of early childhood, having served as an early childhood special education paraprofessional, child care teacher, preschool teacher, before/after school care coordinator, assistant director, early childhood educational director, reading tutor, nanny, Sunday School teacher, children’s support group facilitator, and high school Forensics adjudicator over the years. She has worked with children of all chronological ages and developmental stages. Appearing in tandem with her career in early childhood education has been Jennifer’s lifelong passion for performing. She has sung in church and concert choirs, vocal jazz ensembles, and a contemporary Christian worship team; worked as a cantor, wedding soloist, and funeral vocalist; and has been actively involved in area community theatre most of her adult life. Currently, she is a member of the Racine Theatre Guild, making regular appearances both onstage as an actor/singer and offstage as a crew member. Born and raised in Kenosha, Jennifer is blessed to have a close relationship with her immediate and extended family. Her favorite role of all is being an auntie to her nieces and nephew. When not working with children or performing, Jennifer enjoys movies, attending plays and musicals, playing all forms of trivia, walks outside, and spending time with friends and family.
